Welcome to Greenwood Music

Greenwood Music is a social enterprise, which provides programmes of wellbeing activities in a relaxed and beautiful natural environment. All our workshops are informed by the new economic foundation (nef, 2008) Five Ways to Wellbeing– we will support you to connect with each other and the natural world, to learn new skills, to be active outdoors, to have the time to mindfully notice where you are and the world around you and to give through shared support and back to nature: all set in our beautiful 40-acre semi-ancient Oak woodland. You will be supported throughout by our highly professional and experienced team who will ensure that the experience is positive and fun. As a social enterprise, we reinvest 50% of our profits into our social purpose Wellbeing in Nature programme: a social prescription to the natural health service to people with multiple and complex needs. Thus you are also giving toward the sustainability of our social purpose.

Greenwood Music - Explore the woods

Caradon Wood was bequeathed to the Woodland Trust by Dennis Arbon. This 40-acre ancient oak woodland is leased to, and sustainably managed by Greenwood Music CIC. Whilst managing the wellbeing of the woods, we are able to offer wellbeing programmes for a wide range of participants from all walks of life. Caradon Wood is nestled in a beautiful and lush Cornish valley, with the River Lyhner flowing along its eastern boundary for over one mile. The woodland is primarily made up of oak, with a wide variety of other indigenous trees. The wood has a diverse ecosystem with many rare plants, fungi and invertebrates. You can wander through the woods and catch sight of deer, badger, foxes as well as a wide variety of woodland birds. The woodlands are managed sympathetically with as little intervention as possible to maintain this unique ancient woodland and its complex and symbiotic ecosystem.
